Honey Farm News March 2009
The skies are blue above the Chain Bridge Honey Farm today, a far cry from a few months ago when the rains came, the water mains burst and the road fell into the river!

That's right the road just past the Honey Farm heading towards the Chain Bridge from England is temporarily closed. We do hope they will begin to repair this soon and indeed tests have been carried out.
Until then, we are open as always and access is best gained from the English side of the river. Visitors are able to enjoy a short walk up the hill from the Union Chain Bridge if travelling from the Scots side. Do call if this sounds confusing! 01289 386362.

We love the Union Chain Bridge and Heather Robson here at the Honey Farm has created a website dedicated to the famous feat of engineering, please visit www.unionchainbridge.co.uk and join the campaign to maintain a wonderful piece of history!

Keeping it in the family, Heather's older brother Stephen Robson has announced the dates for 2009's Vintage Vehicle Events.
Sunday 26th April will see Waspy's Crank Up blow the winter cobwebs away... While on Sunday 6th September our annual Charity Open Day in association with Berwick Rotary Club will take place. Expect live music, vehicle displays, bagpipes, burgers and a brilliant time!

With Spring warming up we've started to think about the Real Food Festival in London. http://www.realfoodfestival.co.uk/
We're heading down again this year and if you will be in the area between 8th - 10th May why not come along to say hello!
Thanks to the wonders of modern technology we can offer a special discount code if you would like to buy tickets for the event in advance. Simply type 5MBPR into the code area at http://www.seetickets.com/realfood/ for 20% discount. This includes trade days and general admission days too.

Well, I think that’s about all folks... Our bees are beginning to forage again and are healthy and well, here's hoping for a good Spring and Summer 2009!
